Amy Childs, 23, is originally from Barking and relocated to Brentwood, Essex at the age of six. She attended Raphael’s Independent Private School and being the model pupil Amy excelled in French as well as holding the responsibility of being Head Girl. Her only ‘flaw’ at school was wearing too much make-up! Amy left school at the age of sixteen with full GCSE qualifications and went on to study at Brentwood Academy where she received a Level Two and Level Three Diploma in Beauty Specialised Techniques.
Now as a fully qualified beauty therapist Amy worked in various spas completing different beauty treatments, her favourite being spray tans and massages. She particularly enjoyed her time working in Harmony Health and Beauty at Epping Forest Country Club where she was a therapist for two years before her life was to be changed forever.
Amy shot to fame in 2010 with ITV2’s British BAFTA award-winning reality show ‘The Only Way Is Essex.’ After wowing the British public on the show Amy signed with her new management company, CAN Associates Ltd. Claire Powell, the Managing Director of the company saw something special in Amy. This was a huge turning point in Amy’s career and model and qualified beautician Amy is now a regular feature in celebrity magazines.
Amy is admired and recognized for her sense of style, personality, ‘Essex’ vocabulary and the popularizing of ‘vajazzaling.’ Miss Childs has since parted ways with ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ but has weekly presenting slots on the nation's much loved ‘This Morning’ on ITV1 and is now launching her own reality show ‘All About Amy’ to appear on Channel 5. Amy also came a fantastic fourth in ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ 2011 and has appeared on shows such as ‘8 Out Of 10 Cats’ and ‘Alan Carr’s Chatty Man.’
Renowned magazines are proud to work with Amy and she has appeared in publications such as ‘Vogue,’ ‘OK!’ and ‘FHM.’ With endorsements for renowned brands it is clear that large companies and corporations are evidently both keen and proud to be associated with Miss Childs. With her own weekly column in New! Magazine, her own Clothing Collection and Beauty Range, a Beauty Salon opening in her home town of Essex and her own 2013 Calendar on sale, the future is looking incredibly bright for Amy Childs.
